Design Inspiration

Rooted in the refined grandeur of the Louis XVI era, this neoclassical tea trolley draws inspiration from the ateliers of 18th-century Paris. Its three-tier silhouette — a removable gallery tray raised on ornate brass supports, a central serving surface with three dovetail drawers, and a marquetry-inlaid lower shelf — perfectly embodies the symmetry and grace that defined the period. Brass & Wood has faithfully reproduced every detail, from the pierced gallery rail to the scrolling acanthus mounts, as a tribute to European cabinet-making at its height.

Materials & Finish

The body is constructed from premium solid mahogany, its warm reddish-brown tone deepened by a hand-applied lacquer finish that enriches the grain. The lower shelf and drawer fronts are decorated with delicate floral and scroll marquetry inlaid in contrasting veneers, a hallmark of the Louis XVI aesthetic. All hardware — including the gallery rail, swag-and-ribbon ormolu mounts, drawer pulls, corner capitals, and brass casters — is cast and hand-chased in solid brass with an antique gold finish.

Craftsmanship

Every piece produced by Brass & Wood is hand-assembled by master craftsmen in Egypt, blending centuries-old European joinery traditions with meticulous modern quality standards. The removable upper tray sits securely within the brass gallery, supported by elegantly curved brass arms terminating in decorative finials. Tapered, fluted legs rest on brass sabots and castors, ensuring both authenticity and ease of movement — ideal for formal drawing rooms, grand dining rooms, or luxury hotel suites.
