Dining Chairs from the Brass and Wood Atelier

A formal dining room needs two chair types: side chairs (no arms, fit close together) for guests, and head-of-table armchairs (with carved arms) for the hosts. We carve both in matching profiles: Louis XV cabriole-legged with shell crests, Louis XVI fluted-leg with laurel medallion backs, Empire with sabre legs and lyre splats, or Rococo with cartouche backs and rocaille carving. Upholstery options include silk damask, woven jacquard, velvet, or genuine leather — your choice from swatches we send before production. Order any quantity from 1 to 12. We can match a chair set to an existing dining table you already own: send photos and dimensions.

Hand-carved frames. Solid beech and walnut, traditional joinery in our Cairo workshop.
Premium finishes. 22-karat leaf gilt, hand-applied patina, Italian silk damask upholstery.

Common questions

How many people can your dining tables seat?

From 4-seat Louis XV oval tables up to 30-seat banquet tables for grand dining rooms. Most common: 6, 8, 10, 12 seats. Extending mechanisms available on Empire and Neoclassical designs.

Are the marble tops on dining buffets real marble?

Yes — solid Italian Carrara, Botticino, or Egyptian Sinai marble. Cut, polished, and sealed in our atelier. Each slab is unique; veining will differ slightly from photos.

Can I match a dining table to my existing chairs (or vice versa)?

Yes. Send us photos and dimensions of what you have. We design the matching pieces in the same wood tone, gilt level, and proportion. 6-10 week lead time.

Do the dining sets include the buffet and display cabinet?

Depends on the set. Full suites (table + chairs + buffet + display cabinet) are listed under 'Dining Tables Sets'. You can also buy any piece individually and we'll match finishes for additions later.
