Design Inspiration
Rooted in the elegance of 18th-century French Rococo, this octagonal corner table captures the exuberance of the Louis XV era. Fluid cabriole legs sweep upward into acanthus-leaf carvings, evoking the movement and grace that defined palace interiors of Versailles. Every curve is a deliberate gesture toward baroque opulence reimagined for the modern luxury home.
Materials & Finish
The table's apron and legs are crafted from a solid hardwood frame, hand-carved and finished entirely in genuine gold leaf, bestowing a warm, luminous glow. The octagonal top is dressed in an ivory lacquer ground, inlaid with intricate floral and arabesque patterns executed in mother-of-pearl and contrasting natural veneers, creating an iridescent centrepiece that catches light from every angle.
Craftsmanship
Each table is entirely handmade at the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt by artisans trained in classical European gilding and marquetry traditions. The gold-leaf application is burnished by hand, while the inlay work is individually set piece by piece — a process that can span several weeks per table. The result is a singular objet d'art that is as much sculpture as furniture.
