Rooted in the refined elegance of the Louis XVI era, this console table embodies the Neoclassical ideal of symmetry and restrained grandeur. Its architecture draws from the great Parisian salons of the late 18th century — tall fluted tapered legs adorned with acanthus capitals, a deep dentil-carved apron punctuated by rosette medallions, and a sweeping onyx marble surface that anchors the composition with natural, luxurious drama.

Materials & Finish

The solid wood frame is entirely hand-carved by Brass & Wood master artisans in Egypt, then enveloped in genuine gold leaf gilding that lends the piece its warm, aristocratic lustre. The table top is a single slab of genuine onyx marble, its amber, ivory, and caramel veins unique to each piece. Six sculpted legs — tapered, fluted, and crowned with foliate carvings — provide both structural grace and visual rhythm.

Craftsmanship

Every detail of this console is the product of weeks of hand work: the dentil moulding is chiselled tooth by tooth, each rosette is carved in relief, and the gold leaf is applied by hand using traditional water-gilding techniques. The result is a piece that carries the soul of 18th-century European cabinetmaking while being born in the workshops of Brass & Wood.
