The body is constructed from Romanian solid redwood dried to below 10% humidity, ensuring dimensional stability in varying climates. The cream base coat is applied in multiple thin layers and then handed to a specialist decorative painter, who applies the Rococo floral and scroll programme entirely freehand in warm amber, terracotta, and rose. No transfers, no stencils — the asymmetric C-scroll cartouches and rose garlands that frame each drawer front are original brushwork. The dark veined brown marble top, polished to a smooth matte, anchors the lightness of the painted body with natural gravitas. Three drawers operate on wooden runners fitted with antique-gold bail-pull hardware.

At 80 cm tall, 65 cm wide, and 47 cm deep, this commode occupies the footprint of a standard nightstand while projecting the visual authority of a salon piece. The four cabriole legs — each terminating in a scroll foot carved directly from the frame — bow outward in proportion with the bombé body, maintaining the Rococo principle that no line should be entirely straight.
