Rooted in the refined elegance of Neoclassical and Louis XVI cabinetry, this grand buffet by Brass & Wood captures the disciplined grandeur of 18th-century European court furniture. Its symmetrical composition, fluted frieze rail, and tapered sabre-leg silhouette reflect the golden age of French ébénisterie, reinterpreted for the contemporary interior.

Materials & Finish

Each door panel showcases book-matched flame veneer, yielding a dramatic, mirror-image grain pattern in rich dark-brown tones. The carcass is constructed from solid wood with a hand-rubbed, antiqued finish that deepens the warmth of the wood. Gilt brass hardware — including ornate door pulls, keyhole escutcheons, column capitals, and leg sabots — adds a luminous contrast to the dark timber.

Craftsmanship

Handcrafted by Brass & Wood artisans in Cairo, every element is assembled and finished by hand. The fluted top frieze, inlay banding, and brass corner details are individually fitted, reflecting centuries-old joinery traditions updated with contemporary precision.
