This Brass & Wood buffet draws its soul from the refined court aesthetic of Louis XVI France — a period defined by symmetry, delicate garlands, ribbon-tied bows, and pastoral floral motifs. Each panel is a canvas bearing a hand-painted bouquet of roses, tulips, and mixed blooms rendered in soft pastel tones, evoking the intimacy of an 18th-century botanical study.

Materials & Finish

The carcass is crafted from solid wood finished in a creamy ivory lacquer with a smooth satin surface. All ornamental mouldings, corner mounts, frieze panels, and column capitals are finished in warm antique gold, complementing the ivory ground and lending the piece its characteristic palatial brilliance.

Craftsmanship & Ornamentation

Gilded brass hardware — swag garlands, rosette mounts, acanthus-leaf friezes, and beaded edge mouldings — is applied by hand across the entire body. Fluted and reeded column pilasters separate each door bay, and turned tapered legs with carved collars complete the silhouette. The interior revealed in the open-door views shows a clean ivory-finished compartment with a fixed shelf, providing generous storage without compromising the exterior grandeur.
