Description

Design Inspiration

Drawn from the golden age of French court furniture, this two-tier tea trolley embodies the restrained grandeur of Louis XVI Neoclassicism. Straight tapered legs, garland swag mounts, and symmetrical proportions recall the elegant salons of Versailles, while the upper removable tray adds a layer of practical luxury prized by 18th-century nobility.

Materials & Finish

The primary structure is crafted from solid mahogany, showcasing richly figured veneers with hand-laid floral marquetry on both the main table surface and the upper oval tray. Every mount — from the pierced gallery rail to the scrolling acanthus uprights and rosette corner appliques — is cast in solid brass and finished in warm antique gold. Casters are brass-capped, allowing graceful movement across any floor.

Craftsmanship at Brass & Wood

Each piece is individually handcrafted in the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt by artisans trained in classical European joinery and lost-wax brass casting. Garland swags are chased by hand, marquetry is cut and laid piece by piece, and the gilt finish is hand-applied and burnished to a warm, even lustre — ensuring no two trolleys are exactly alike.

Dimensions & Use

Designed to serve as a distinguished tea or bar trolley in drawing rooms, studies, or hotel suites, this piece pairs effortlessly with Louis XVI or Empire interiors. The raised upper tray holds glassware securely behind its brass gallery, while the spacious lower tier accommodates service ware with ease.
