Evoking the refined elegance of late eighteenth-century Versailles, this tea trolley is a faithful homage to the Louis XVI style — characterised by straight, tapered legs, neoclassical symmetry, and lavish use of gilt bronze. The design draws from the celebrated Parisian ébénisterie tradition, where form and ornament were held in perfect balance. A raised gallery tray crowns the piece, supported by spectacular foliate acanthus bronze uprights that cascade with naturalistic drama.
Crafted from solid mahogany-toned hardwood, every surface is adorned with hand-laid marquetry inlays featuring delicate floral and ribbon motifs rendered in contrasting veneers. The rich warm-brown finish is protected beneath a hand-polished lacquer, lending depth and luminosity. All hardware — friezes, corner mounts, column capitals, toe caps, and the ornate acanthus supports — is cast in solid brass and finished in high-polished antique gold, faithfully replicating period ormolu.
Every detail is produced by Brass & Wood master craftsmen in Egypt, combining traditional hand-carving, precision brass casting, and meticulous marquetry laying. The figurative friezes depicting cherubs and garlands are individually cast and hand-chased, while the tapered fluted legs terminate in refined brass sabots. The removable upper gallery tray adds functional elegance for serving.
This statement piece is equally suited as a functional tea service trolley or as a decorative accent table in a salon, drawing room, or luxury hospitality setting. It arrives fully assembled and ready to display.
