The lower tier, woven in natural cane, adds lightness and visual depth, a hallmark of the finest 18th-century French menuiserie.
Materials & Finish
The table is constructed from a solid hardwood frame finished in a warm medium-brown tone with a varnished surface that highlights the natural grain. Intricate marquetry inlay adorns the entire tabletop, creating tonal contrasts of lighter and darker wood veneers arranged in floral and foliate motifs. Gilded brass ormolu mounts — including a central rosette medallion, continuous acanthus-scroll friezes, and corner appliqués — deliver the golden luminosity synonymous with Louis XVI luxury. Craftsmanship
