Rooted in the refined elegance of the Louis XVI era, this tea table embodies the Neoclassical ideal of symmetry, restraint, and delicate ornamentation. Its richly figured walnut veneer top is adorned with a central floral medallion and sweeping scrolled arabesques rendered in contrasting wood marquetry — a tribute to the ébénistes of 18th-century Versailles.
The table is constructed from solid hardwood, finished in a deep ebonised tone on the legs and apron to create a striking contrast with the warm walnut marquetry surface. Every edge is traced in gilt-brass stringing, while hand-cast antique-gilt bronze ormolu mounts — floral garlands, foliate plaques, and corner capitals — are fixed to the apron and column legs. The legs taper to refined gilt-brass sabots, completing a silhouette of aristocratic poise.
Every table is entirely handcrafted in Egypt by Brass & Wood artisans trained in classical European joinery. The marquetry is cut and laid by hand, and each bronze mount is individually cast, chased, and gilded. A lower display shelf, also veneered and framed in gilt brass, adds both functionality and visual balance.
