Rooted in the refined vocabulary of Louis XVI Neoclassicism, this tea table captures the elegance of late 18th-century French court furniture. The transition from Rococo exuberance to disciplined classical geometry is beautifully expressed through straight tapered legs, symmetrical swag motifs, and a richly figured marquetry surface that evokes the great ébénistes of Versailles.
The frame is crafted from kiln-dried solid mahogany with a warm walnut-toned hand-rubbed finish. The tabletop features an intricate sunburst and floral marquetry executed in contrasting veneers. All hardware consists of individually cast and hand-chased antique gilt bronze ormolu mounts — including swag garlands, central cartouche pulls, and corner rosettes — finished to an authentic antique gold patina. Legs are terminated with polished brass sabots.
Every piece is built by master craftsmen in the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt, combining traditional joinery techniques with hand-applied marquetry and individually finished bronze castings. The result is a faithful, heirloom-quality replica that honours centuries of European decorative arts tradition.
