Rooted in the refined court culture of eighteenth-century Versailles, this set of three nesting tables embodies the Louis XVI Neoclassical ideal: disciplined geometry softened by organic ornament. Each tabletop carries an elaborate medallion of scrolling acanthus, floral sprays, and ribbon-tied laurel wreaths rendered entirely in contrasting wood veneers — a vocabulary drawn directly from the ateliers of the great French ébénistes.
The frames are constructed from solid hardwood, stained to a warm walnut tone that accentuates the natural grain. Tabletops showcase multi-species marquetry in golden satinwood, rich mahogany, and dark rosewood, creating depth and chromatic contrast without a drop of paint. Gilt bronze mounts — cast and hand-chased in the Louis XVI garland and rosette tradition — ornament the aprons and leg capitals, adding luminous metallic accents throughout.
Every piece is handcrafted in the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt by master craftsmen trained in classical European joinery. The marquetry veneers are individually cut and assembled by hand; the bronze fittings are finished with antique gilt patina; and the slender, tapered, fluted legs are turned on a lathe and hand-sanded to a smooth lacquered finish. The three tables nest cleanly under one another for flexible placement in any interior.
