The shaped, serpentine-edged top — adorned with a richly detailed floral marquetry medallion — evokes the grand tables de salon commissioned for the Palace of Versailles and the finest Parisian hôtels particuliers.
Materials & Finish
The table is constructed from solid walnut, carefully selected for its warm grain and structural integrity. The tabletop showcases an intricate floral marquetry panel crafted from multiple contrasting wood veneers, framed by a polished brass gallery rail. Sumptuously cast ormolu mounts — gilded bronze appliqués depicting acanthus scrolls, floral sprays, and foliate cartouches — adorn the apron and the tops of all four cabriole legs, which terminate in graceful gilt sabots. Every brass element is hand-finished to an antique-gold lustre that complements the warm mahogany tones of the wood.
