Materials & Finish
The generous rectangular top is dressed in an intricate multi-wood marquetry panel depicting scrolling acanthus foliage and a central floral medallion. The solid hardwood frame is finished in a rich mahogany tone, while the apron panels receive a hand-applied ivory lacquer that highlights the gilded ormolu mounts — cast in solid brass and hand-chased to capture every floral and foliate detail. Sabots in gilded brass protect the slender cabriole legs.
Craftsmanship
Every element is hand-assembled at the Brass & Wood atelier in Egypt by artisans trained in classical European joinery. The marquetry veneers are cut and laid individually; the brass castings are finished by hand-filing and burnishing to a warm antique-gold tone.
