Design Inspiration
Rooted in the Louis XV tradition, this Brass & Wood buffet captures the organic curves and romantic spirit of 18th-century French court furniture. The serpentine silhouette, cabriole legs crowned with gilded brass sabots, and a gracefully arched mirror backrest echo the finest Parisian ébénisterie of the Rococo era.
Materials & Finishes
The carcass is constructed from solid wood dressed in finely book-matched veneers, their warm medium-brown tones deepened by a hand-rubbed satin finish. Each door panel carries dense floral and foliate marquetry executed in contrasting wood tones. The generously profiled top is clad in a richly veined brown-red marble slab. All hardware — corner mounts, escutcheons, pull handles, and sabots — is cast in solid brass and finished in antique gold.
Craftsmanship
Every piece leaves the Brass & Wood Cairo atelier after passing through the hands of specialist marquetry cutters, carvers, and finishers. The central bay features a glazed display cabinet framed by scrolling brass grilles, while the flanking solid doors are hinged with full brass hinge plates. The upper mirror assembly is composed of three shaped mirror panels set within a carved and gilded crest, adding height and luminosity to any dining space.
