Rooted in the refined neoclassical vocabulary of Louis XVI cabinetry, this Brass & Wood buffet revives the grandeur of late 18th-century French court furniture. Symmetrical composition, draped garland mounts, and a shaped apron below the central doors reflect the restrained elegance that defined the period.
The carcass is built from solid wood and finished with book-matched burr veneer panels framed by crossbanding, lending each section a distinctive figural warmth. Legs, corner posts, and top rails are finished in a rich medium-to-dark lacquered tone with satin sheen. All hardware is hand-cast ormolu brass — garland swags, ribbon bows, fretwork friezes, floral cartouches, and tapered sabots — finished in antique gold.
Every mount is individually cast, chased, and gilded by hand at the Brass & Wood Cairo atelier. The hinged doors open on silent brass pivots to reveal two adjustable shelves per bay, with clean wood interiors. The upper drawer-width frieze band adds both structural definition and decorative continuity across the full piece.
This configurable buffet is available in widths of 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400 cm, allowing seamless integration into dining rooms and reception halls of varying scale. Select your preferred width from the variant selector above.
