This grand buffet draws its spirit from the refined vocabulary of Louis XVI Neoclassicism — a period that celebrated symmetry, restraint, and architectural elegance. The piece echoes the great ébéniste tradition of late-18th-century Paris, translated by Brass & Wood's Cairo atelier into a commanding dining-room statement. Three articulated bays, each framed by slender turned and fluted columns, create a rhythmic façade of timeless authority.
The carcass and door panels are veneered with book-matched wood presenting a rich medium-brown tone with warm amber highlights, hand-polished to a luminous satin finish. Gilt brass ormolu mounts — foliate corner cartouches, column capitals, and sabots — punctuate every joint with 18-carat-inspired brilliance. A continuous pierced brass gallery crowns the top surface, while a matching brass stringing lines every panel border. The top itself is finished in a pale, smooth surface that contrasts beautifully with the warm wood below.
Every element is handcrafted in the Brass & Wood workshop. Veneer sheets are hand-selected for grain continuity, laid in mirrored chevron patterns on each door and side panel. Brass castings are individually hand-chased and lacquered to preserve their antique-gold lustre. Tapered, fluted legs terminate in brass sabots, and all hinges are mortised for flush, seamless closure. Interior shelving provides generous, adjustable storage across all bays, while three full-width drawers concealed behind the gallery rail add discreet utility.
This buffet is available in widths of 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400 cm, allowing it to grace intimate dining rooms and grand reception halls alike. All width variants share the same height, depth, and ornamentation, ensuring a consistent silhouette regardless of the configuration chosen.
