Rooted in the grandeur of European Baroque tradition, this dining buffet by Brass & Wood captures the theatrical drama and exuberant ornamentation of 17th–18th century palatial interiors. The deep high-gloss black lacquer body serves as an opulent canvas for cascading hand-painted floral bouquets — roses, peonies, and wildflowers rendered in rich polychrome — evoking the finest lacquered cabinet-making of the Baroque courts. The rounded silhouette and sculpted plinth base reflect the voluptuous curves characteristic of the period.
The carcass is constructed from solid wood dressed in a flawless high-gloss black lacquer finish. The surface is hand-painted with vibrant multicolour floral compositions, each unique to the craftsman's hand. Lavish cast-brass mounts — acanthus-leaf columns, scrolling apron gallery, and beaded top rail — are finished in bright gold, providing a luminous contrast against the black ground. The top surface reveals a lighter off-white lacquered panel framed by the gold brass banding.
Every piece is entirely handcrafted in the Brass & Wood atelier. Skilled artisans apply multiple lacquer coats, hand-sand between layers, and execute the floral painting freehand before a final protective lacquer seal. The brass elements are individually cast, chased, and polished to a bright gold standard. Interior compartments are lined in a warm neutral finish, providing a refined backdrop for fine tableware and crystal.
This buffet is available in widths of 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400 cm, allowing you to select the configuration that best suits your dining space. All width variants maintain the same height, depth, door arrangement, and ornamental scheme, ensuring a consistent statement of Baroque grandeur regardless of size.
