Rooted in the elegance of the French Louis XV period, this dining chair captures the quintessential Rococo spirit — organic curves, feminine grace, and an exuberant celebration of nature. The sculpted cabriole legs, shell-and-scroll cartouche cresting, and gently flared seat apron evoke the grandeur of Versailles, reimagined for contemporary interiors by Brass & Wood's master craftsmen in Egypt.
The frame is constructed from solid kiln-dried hardwood finished in a warm ivory lacquer with hand-applied antiquing for depth and character. Ornamental mounts — including the central apron escutcheon, leg sabots, and crest cartouche — are cast in solid brass and hand-finished to a rich antique gold. The generous seat is upholstered in a fine floral tapestry fabric woven with rose, peony, and scrolling vine motifs on a blush ground, finished with a delicate cord trim.
Every Brass & Wood piece is handcrafted to order in our Cairo atelier. Joinery is mortise-and-tenon throughout, glued and corner-blocked for heirloom-grade durability. The cane back panel is hand-woven in a traditional open weave, set into a shaped solid-wood surround. Brass hardware is individually fitted and secured, ensuring precise alignment and a flawless finish that improves with age.
