Rooted in the opulent spirit of 18th-century French court furniture, this vitrine commode captures the fluid grace of the Louis XV Rococo style. Its serpentine silhouette, cabriole legs with gilt-brass sabots, and asymmetric floral swag mounts echo the playful grandeur that defined Versailles interiors.
The carcase is built from solid hardwood, lacquered in a rich deep burgundy and contrasted by high-gloss ebonised black panels and gold-leaf brass banding. Ormolu-style cast-brass appliqués — foliate rosettes, draped garlands, and acanthus corner mounts — are hand-finished in antique gold. The central vitrine door is fitted with bevelled glass, revealing a plush crimson velvet-lined interior ideal for displaying fine objects.

Every piece in the Brass & Wood atelier is individually handcrafted in Egypt by master artisans who have inherited centuries-old joinery and gilding traditions. Mortise-and-tenon construction ensures structural integrity, while multiple lacquer coats are hand-polished to a mirror finish — making this commode a lasting centrepiece for any classical interior.
