Drawing directly from the opulent courts of eighteenth-century France, this salon armchair captures the very essence of the Louis XV Rococo aesthetic. Fluid, organic curves replace rigid right angles; every rail, leg, and crest rail flows into the next in a continuous sculptural rhythm. The result is a seat that feels as though it grew rather than was built — perfectly at home in a grand salon, a refined bedroom, or an elegant reception room.
The interior surfaces — seat, back, and inner arms — are dressed in a richly patterned floral damask woven in a palette of blush rose, soft mauve, pale gold, and sky blue on an ivory ground. The exterior back and outer arm panels are finished in a complementary plain blush-pink fabric, creating a deliberate contrast that rewards the eye from every angle. Fringe-trimmed accent cushions complete the layered, couture-like presentation.
Brass & Wood master craftsmen shape each frame from solid hardwood, hand-carving the characteristic cabriole legs with scrolled toes, the shell-and-scroll apron, and the serpentine top rail entirely by hand. The frame is finished in a warm ivory lacquer with subtle antiquing, lending the piece a time-worn softness consistent with authentic period furniture. Every joint is fitted and reinforced by hand, ensuring structural integrity across generations of use.
As with every Brass & Wood creation, this armchair is fully customisable. Choose your preferred fabric, adjust the frame finish, or request bespoke dimensions to suit your space. Contact our design consultants to begin your commission.
