The carcass is built from Romanian solid redwood (below 10% humidity), dressed in meticulously laid burl veneer panels that shimmer with the unpredictable figuring only root wood produces — no two pieces alike. Crossbanded borders in straight-cut veneer frame each panel, and the drawer fronts are finished to a deep French polish that gives the wood its characteristic glassy depth.
