Rooted in the refined elegance of the Louis XVI era, this dining chair by Brass & Wood captures the neoclassical spirit of late 18th-century French court furniture. Its structured rectangular back with shaped cartouche panel, restrained ornamentation, and harmonious proportions reflect the transition from Rococo exuberance to classical purity.
Crafted from solid wood with a warm medium-brown finish, the chair's frame is adorned with hand-applied gilt brass rosettes at the seat corners and a delicate foliate brass mount crowning the back crest rail. The upholstery features a cream diamond-weave fabric on the seat and a button-tufted panel on the back, edged with a fine cord trim.
Each chair is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail. The front legs are classically fluted and tapered, terminating in turned feet — a hallmark of Louis XVI cabinetmaking. Gilt brass ornamental rosettes are individually cast and mounted, ensuring no two chairs are entirely identical.
This configurable chair is available in two Arm Type variants: With Arms and Without Arms, allowing you to compose a dining set that suits your space and entertaining style.
