There is a quiet confidence to this TV console that comes from knowing exactly what it needs to be. Low-slung and horizontal, its silhouette stretches across the wall with the purposeful restraint that defined mid-century modern design at its best — an era when form and function were considered the same conversation. The stepped asymmetric top rail, slightly raised on one side, gives the piece a dynamic tension that prevents it from reading as furniture; it reads as composition.
Constructed from Romanian solid redwood dried to below 10% humidity — a standard that ensures dimensional stability in varying climates — the frame is finished in a deep, even black lacquer that absorbs light rather than reflecting it. The surface is smooth to the touch, with no grain interrupting the matte depth of the finish. Three semi-circular solid brass D-pull handles, polished to a warm gold, are set flush against each drawer front. The contrast between the warm brass arc and the cool black ground is the piece's defining visual gesture. Splayed, tapered legs in matching black lacquer angle outward to give the unit visual lift, preventing the low profile from reading as heavy.
The unit offers an open central shelf sized for media equipment, flanked by three full-width drawers below for cable management and accessory storage. The extended top surface provides generous display space above the screen. The raised back panel on the right side adds architectural interest and provides a subtle backdrop for displayed objects. Dimensions are available on request — the piece is sized for screens up to approximately 65 inches.
Every unit is handcrafted in Egypt by Brass & Wood's workshop team, drawing on woodworking traditions that combine European design precision with Egyptian craft discipline. The lacquer is applied in multiple coats and hand-smoothed between layers to achieve the even, deep finish visible in the photographs. Brass hardware is individually fitted and polished. Customization of dimensions, finish color, and hardware finish is available on request.
The frame is constructed from Romanian solid redwood (below 10% humidity) finished in black lacquer. The drawer handles are solid brass with a polished gold finish.
Minimal assembly is required — primarily attaching the legs to the body. All hardware and instructions are included.
