Design Inspiration
Rooted in the restrained elegance of the Louis XVI court, this set of three nesting service tables draws on the Neoclassical ideals that swept Europe in the late eighteenth century. Fluted, tapering legs crowned with carved acanthus rosettes, delicate apron carvings, and gilded column capitals speak a language of measured grandeur. The hand-painted floral medallion gracing each tabletop — a bouquet of roses, lilies, and trailing vines rendered within a gilded cartouche — echoes the decorative vocabulary of the Ancien Régime's finest painted furniture.
Materials & Finish
Each table is constructed from kiln-dried solid wood, hand-carved by Brass & Wood artisans in their Cairo atelier. The frame is wrapped in a warm ivory lacquer base, over which layers of genuine gold leaf are applied by hand to accentuate every carved relief. Tabletops receive a multi-step hand-painting process — pencil sketch, pigment application, and protective varnish — ensuring that no two sets are identical. The result is a surface that combines the luminosity of gilding with the intimacy of original artwork.
Craftsmanship
