Description

Design Inspiration

Rooted in the refined elegance of late 18th-century French court furniture, this set of four nesting tables embodies the Louis XVI Neoclassical ideal — symmetry, restraint, and exquisite ornamental detail. The graduated tables slide beneath one another with precision, transforming a spectacular statement piece into a versatile, space-conscious service solution worthy of the grandest interiors.

Materials & Finish

Each table is constructed from solid mahogany, its warm, deep-grain surface serving as the canvas for intricate marquetry work executed in contrasting veneers. Scrolling floral vines, medallions, and ribbon motifs animate every top. Gilt-bronze acanthus-leaf corner mounts, tapering fluted legs, and delicate brass sabot feet complete the palette of precious materials. The largest table is crowned with a pierced brass gallery rail — a hallmark of Louis XVI service tables — finished in antique gold to harmonise with the ormolu mounts.

Craftsmanship

Every piece in this set is hand-produced by Brass & Wood master artisans in Egypt, drawing on centuries-old European joinery and marquetry traditions. Veneers are cut, matched, and laid by hand; bronze mounts are cast, chased, and hand-gilded; legs are turned on the lathe and hand-carved. The result is a cohesive ensemble that faithfully replicates the golden age of Parisian ébénisterie.
