Drawing from the grandeur of the French Empire period, this Brass & Wood dining table commands attention with its dual columnar pedestals finished in deep lacquer black, a richly figured burled wood tabletop adorned with inlaid brass laurel wreaths, and continuous acanthus-leaf gilt brass friezes running the full length of the apron. Every element pays homage to the monumental interiors championed by Napoleon's court designers.
The tabletop showcases a spectacular burled wood veneer surface with a high-gloss lacquer finish, framed by a dark wood edge and contrasted by ivory-toned decorative panels. The twin pedestal columns are lacquered in jet black with hand-applied gilt brass collar mounts featuring acanthus and laurel motifs. Each tripartite base rests on cast brass paw feet, edged with fine brass bead detailing.
Each table is entirely handcrafted by Brass & Wood artisans in Cairo, combining traditional woodworking joinery with hand-chased and hand-applied brass ormolu-style mounts. The result is a statement piece that carries the authority of museum-quality classical European furniture.
This table is available in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, and 32 seating capacity configurations, making it ideal for intimate family dining rooms as well as grand palace banqueting halls.
