The serpentine front, bombe corners, and undulating apron are hallmarks of the Louis XV style, rendered here with faithful precision by the master craftsmen of Brass & Wood in Cairo.
Exceptional Marquetry & Materials
Every door panel is adorned with dense, hand-cut floral and foliate marquetry inlaid across contrasting wood veneers — light and dark tones interplaying to create depth and movement. The carcass is finished in a rich dark brown, while lighter veneer cartouches frame each scene with elegant contrast. A glass top protects the surface while maintaining visual refinement.
Gilded Brass Ormolu Mounts
Lavish cast-brass ormolu mounts — scrolling acanthus capitals, floral corner espagnolettes, sabots on the cabriole legs, and ornate central keyhole surrounds — are finished in antique gold. These elements are individually hand-applied, lending the piece its unmistakable palatial character.
