Rooted in the refined grandeur of Louis XVI Neoclassical design, this buffet by Brass & Wood captures the elegance of 18th-century French court furniture. The serpentine-ended carcass, tapered and gilded turned legs, and richly figured wood panels echo the discipline and symmetry that define the Louis XVI period. Crowned with a spectacular heavily carved gilt mirror, the ensemble commands presence in any formal dining room.
The buffet showcases a deep red veined marble top that contrasts beautifully with the warm medium-brown wood body. Antique gold brass appliqués — including decorative friezes, escutcheons, and column capitals — adorn every surface. The mirror frame is entirely gilded with acanthus leaf carvings, shell motifs, and scrollwork executed in high relief.
Each piece is entirely handcrafted in the Brass & Wood atelier in Cairo. Artisans hand-apply every brass mount, hand-polish the marble, and hand-carve the mirror frame details. The figured wood veneer panels on the doors are book-matched for a symmetrical grain pattern, sealed under a fine lacquered finish.
This buffet is available in widths of 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400 cm, allowing you to select the ideal scale for your dining space. All width variants share the same design language, materials, and level of ornamentation.
