This Rococo brass wall medallion draws its vocabulary from the golden age of French decorative arts — the era of Louis XV and the royal workshops of Versailles — where gilded bronzes, Sèvres porcelain inserts, and sinuous botanical carvings adorned the finest interiors in Europe. At its crown, a paired ribbon-bow cartouche cascades into lateral C-scroll and acanthus branches, framing a central porcelain disc painted with a full, lush bouquet of roses and garden blooms. Every curve speaks the language of rocaille: organic, asymmetric energy disciplined by masterful proportion.

The frame structure is precision-cast in brass and finished by hand, with each layer of scrollwork, egg-and-dart beading, and floral appliqué refined by an artisan's file and brush before the final metal finish is applied. The central disc is a hand-painted porcelain medallion — roses, peonies, and trailing blooms rendered in the naturalistic tradition of 18th-century European decorative porcelain.
